  REDGRANITE VILLAGE BOARD MEETING
 
The monthly meeting of the Redgranite Village Board was held on July 19, 2011 at the Municipal Building.  Members present: Joel Kalata, Sandra Lyles, Richard Piechowski, Betty Eannelli, Angie Ralls and Jerry Sieg.  Also attending:  Village Clerk-treasurer Madonna Berube.

Recognition of Community Service and Life Savings Efforts at the Redgranite Quarry Park on July 2nd was made to four swimmers and Police Officer Mike O'Neill, saving the life of a swimmer.

REPORTS - The annual meeting of Waushara County Sheriff department and the Commission of Aging will be held at the Wautoma airport on August 2 at 10 a.m. The next recall election will be held on August 9. A previously filed claim against the Village of Redgranite has been closed with no charges filed. Thomas Petri, member of the 6th Congressional District will hold a listening session at the Redgranite Municipal Building on August 16, 2011 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

POLICE/FIRE - Authorized drive shaft replacement on the squad car at estimated cost of $475.00

SEWER/WATER - Authorized replacement of Flygt Pump from ITT Water & Wastewater Products at cost of $7,913.00 plus shipping costs.

MISCELLANEOUS - Approved: operator license applications for Susan Gustke (RAA) Juanita Zernia, Barbara VanRoy, Jessica Inda, Gina Koston and Patricia Wagner.  Also Temporary class B License application submitted by Redgranite Advancement Association for 9/3, 9/4 and 9/5 for Veterans Memorial Park and Willow Creek Park.  Request from Advancement Association to close Quarry Park by 3 pm on Sept 4th was approved.  Also approved use of village parking lot adjacent to library on Sept 4th for a basketball contest.
